-

-
Guess not much ladies for Scott to shoot :Laughing_on_floor:, but i'm sure Scott got more pics of the model hehe.
Thanks to Kelvin again for extending the invite to us.
Also thanks to the Montblanc staff who showed us any watch we wanted to see, even the open work Chrono's which was already sold.
2nd pic there is of a LE 75 piece Platinum version Nicolas Rieussec.
For me i prefer the manual wind to the auto.
Oh and the Minerva piece that was showed to us was just amazing, beautiful enamel dial and that movt is just something that needs to be seen in person.
Not many people design the movt size to suit the large case but Minerva has done it. Kodus to them!

Scott,
Thanks for posting the nice pics. Great work  and the X-100 really lives up to its reputation.
Kelvin,
Great macro shots as usual. We really must get around to organizing your photo workshop so that we can all pick up some tips from you.
Overall it was a very well organized event and the atmosphere was great (not overly crowded ..), the Montblanc hosts were knowledgable and friendly and the products are simply excellent. I was very pleased to have met Mr. Gan Teck Hock, the General Manager of Montblanc who was kind enough to spend sometime explaining about MB's impressive achievements in the world of horology despite their relatively young age in the Swiss watch industry (Montblanc entered the luxury watch market in 1997).
I have always known Montblanc for their excellent pens and being a proud owner of their Meisterstuck fountain pens I am familiar with the legendary quality of MB fine writing instruments. Naturally I'm pleased to see that MB has extended their tradition of excellence to the field of horology by offering to us such a wide and diverse range of fine timepieces. I'm particularly pleased to have handled in person a few of MB's finest offerings including the Nicholas Rieussec Open Date chronograph featuring the in-house manual wind chronograph calibre, and the Grande Chronographe with the beautiful enamel dial from Montblanc Collection Villeret 1858. (Thanks to Donovan Chin for his patience in explaining to us the finer points of these magnificent timepieces.)
It was a throughly enjoyable evening and for me it served as an eye opening introduction into Montblanc's world of haute horlogerie.

Looks like a great event and have to say great photographs. But I have to say that while I do like the brand, having a couple of their pens and one Timewalker, I wish that they, MB, be a bit humble with their history. Like Danny said, they are a relatively new player in the industry (1997), and is very fortunate to have a 'parent' that has deep pockets and very 'kind' to have 'given' them the Minerva manufacture. But to claim the Minerva history (sometimes) as part of their own, does not do it for me. Just my 2 cents.
