Title: Tudor Glamour Date-Day Review.
Post by: sari on May 28, 2011, 02:12:13 PM
I have been wearing this tudor glamour date-day for about three week now, and here is what I think about it.

1.Specification
    Movement - ETA 2834

base on the above picture from tudor site, you can see that the movement is very well finished and nicely polished. It even has blue steel screw.
However the rotor is actually quite loud when it move. I have not heard any other rotor noice excect from a ETA 7750.

Case - 39 mm stainless steel with double bezel

base on tudor's brochure there is other cases variation like steel-black ceramic or steel-yellow gold. I personally think that the version with steel-yellow gold has the best look. However I have look around everywhere but couldn't find any dealer that has the stock.
The case is not totally smooth. Below is a picture showing the contours and curves of the case.

The case back is plain and simple. Because the case back is almost flat, it sit very nicely on the wrist and the watch is very comfortable to wear.

    crown

the screw down crown measure at about 8 mm. It is very easy to grasp and can be use easily. The tudor logo is also engrave on the crown and painted in black. Below is a picture showing the crown at the open position.

    Steel bracelet

I personally find that the steel bracelet is very comfortable even on my small wrist.
Below is a picture showing the lugs and bracelet.

Clasp - this one has a double clasp. It is very simple in design and good looking.

A little bit a about the packaging. The picture below show all the thing that come together with this watch. The box has a very quality feel to it.

Overall I think this watch is a very functional watch. It is simple in design and yet has all the essential  function for daily use. This watch also exhibit a very quality feel. The only disapointment is that the sapphire crystal is not coated with anti reflective.

Hope you guy will like the watch too. Tudor has gone through some changes in the last 2 year. It has slowly move away from the traditional Rolex look. One of the most obvious is the cyclops on the sapphire crystal is gone. It should attract more attention from watch lover in the future. Stock are quite limited, orignally I wanted a white or silver dial but after visited all the dealer is central KL area I can only find this black dial version and one with diamond. So if you see one that you want don't hesitate too long, somebody might be lurking behind you.
