Interesting watch. Still 46/47 mm with 21 mm lugs? The only thing I dislike about the big pilot collection. It is also good to see that all the hands for the calendar function has been standardise with the arrow indicator. IWC Calibre 51613?

the dial is a little bit too busy for my taste. still prefer the standard BP5004.
-
I prefer the BP 5002. Better if it is the transitional model, 5002 look 5004 engine.

This the only double moonpHase PC below 90k. Yeah, I do agree,it is an acquired taste. Some people do some people don't.

Bro Sani,
Can i just check with you on the accuracy issue of the Portuguese 7 days and the BP. I read in other forums that it has some accuracy problems leading to more than +15 secs per day. In fact almost everyone mentioned that the pilot or the Port Chrono which has the 3717 or 3714 movement is much more accurate.
Bro Scott,
I saw you have the Port 7 days automatic. How is the accuracy so far? You have any problems with it?
Thanks in advance.

from what i heard from an owner of BP the movement of the basic 8 days is very susceptable to shocks and also as the power reserves winds down, it's not as accurate as when it's fully wound up.

If not mistaken, I've read somewhere in a review that the IWC 7days movement actually have 8.5days PR. Upon reaching the end of 7days, there is a trigger mechanism that will stop the watch as after 7days it will not be as accurate. It's very cool for IWC to do this in the design but anyway, the movement is not COSC certified. I'll try to find the link and post it later!

Not sure about the big pilot movement but as for the IWC Big Pilot PC Steel, you really need to read the 'Warning' page carefully.

Had both my IWC timed today. Both running +1 sec a day. So this begs the question, ETA vs in-house. Is in-house over-rated?
-
Thks bro for the link. It seems that IWC has many pros and the only con is the accuracy. I am not a professional when it comes to watches but just curious, is +-15 to 30 secs acceptable in you guys opinion? If this is the case then it would seem that I will have to adjust the watch every week even if I wear it everyday.
Oh well.... Let's see what our bro scotty say. He has this model.
Till then I would still say the port 7 day is 1 fine looking watch.

Sorry, I've been offline for quite a while because I was away. So far to what we experience here is there's no isue on accuracy,to be honest there's one minor issue is the power reserve and that's only one incident due to hard impact to the watch. 3717 ( Pilot Chrono ) and 3714 ( Port Chrono ) are two similar base caliber that has been proven it's consistency and a petit complication so it has to be accurate. Anyway I'm just reviewing about the new Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar and not about Big Pilot 7 days.

3717 n 3714 using eta 7750... its proven movement lah... thas y many brand using it

HI bro Sani,
Thanks for the feedback, but how about the Portuguese Automatic 7 days POwer reserve? Any accuracy issues? I read in other forum that the 5001-calibre has some issues?
Thanks in advance.

One of my friends owned the same but titanium limited edition(only 50 pcs) which is quite outstanding too. But this piece simply the best!
