My friend is offering me a rolex,
but I'm thinking the name of the rolex.
Is that possible change the name from his to me?
-
not speaking from experience, but judging from the price and number of pre-owned Rolexes around, I'm pretty sure that can be done
-
Offering as in giving u his old rolex?in tat case I dun think rolex will issue new warranty card
-
You can send the Rolex in for a service. RSC will register you as the new owner of the watch.
-
can be done but most dont really bother to do it. I dont think it can be done for free also.
-
what are the perks of getting registered as an owner?

you get the watch to call you as "master" instead of the previous owner when you caress it. just like a genie in a bottle

Thank for all the useful information. The reason is I'm the second person who own the watch..if I sell it in future, the watch name not belong to me..the price would be lower I guess..

The price of pre-loved Rolex much depends on the model, condition, completeness of the watch i.e. correct bracelet and end link to the model, original dial and hands vs. service dial and hands, papers and box. I don't many people are actually concerned if you are the original owner or not, unless there is a story behind the watch.

so the moral of the story is to do something great/notorious and become famous/infamous. then your Rolex would sure appreciate and skyrocket in its' value.
but also remember do not re-dail or do some drastic refurbishment to your Rolex like the fuc8-tard Bernie Madoff and screw the valuation of his vintage Rolexes.

I dont think that would be the case. Condition of the watch is more vital plus whether the watch is a fullset is another factor.

Rolex is one of the most well known brand in the world with more than 100 years of history. I don't think will change name.
-
There is a large brand equity tied up in the Rolex name, definitely they will not change the name.
Additionally, they don't even make a mid priced different design style range of Rolex branded watches, instead they create a separate brand, Tudor.
That is to protect the brand equity of their Rolex name.
-
I dont see the needs to change the name, but it can be done at sc with additional fee for sure
-
I don't really caught what u mean. Change Rolex name on the dial to smth fancy? Or Rolex as a nrand change to new name? That for sure cannot la..
Change name as in changing the owner's name in Rolex record? That they can so, even as in 'partial service' when u wanna authenticate the watch, rolex will provide u a receipt with ur name and the watch serial number. They won't provide new warranty card. All other brands won't give new warranty card.
Athat

in fact,Rolex AD never register buyer name .They just write the name on the warranty card instead of register it.the only thing they do is register the date.once the watch sold, they will swipe the warranty card to register the date.Just simply blaken the current name and tell the future owner that you dont like the name known by others
