Post by: fleaman on July 18, 2009, 01:03:27 PM
Hi ALL,
Saw lots of nice new watches in this forum. Was wondering if we do have vintage collectors as well ?

Here are some of my humble collection...  (sorry for the lousy pic shots)

Hi Fleaman,

Nice vintage collection you got there

I used to have a lot of vintage watches when i was working in UK (a lot vintage time pieces you can get there compare to Msia) I used to have some Omega, Oris and SEIKO.. i sold most of them when I started with modern Rolex (mostly traded) but I still keep 1 Oris (my first manual winding vintage Oris), 1 vintage SEIKO and 1 or 2 UK brand vintage ;)

In my opinion, unless I'm a watch-maker or know how to perform service to the watches, otherwise, it will be hard for me keeping many vintage and honestly, i can't tell if the movement is real (parts) or aftermarket... but then again, i think it's cool if someone wearing a vintage (like your Vulcain) with some good looking design!

Thanks for sharing

so many ppl expecting the ceramic bezel on black st steel sub this yr....
but only two tone is out...

i like the max dial sub.... but i do not like lv green color afterall...

hopefully rolex will make a st steel sub with ceramic bezel + max dial

Anyone realised that the launching of the new sub follows the same pattern as the gmt2c, which was 1st launched in gold, then in 2-tone, only then in steel model (marketing strategy maybe  :P) so for those who are interested in steel + ceramic + maxi dial should hold and wait for next year IMO  ;)
