Title: Cal. 861 vs 1861
Post by: terrenceterrence on April 26, 2011, 11:19:22 AM
Yes, I ca't afford a cal. 321  :Laughing_on_floor: and finding one for sale is quite hard. Unless you're going for non speedy omegas equipped with cal. 321 then it's another story altogether.

Been browsing the web and found that prices for speedys equipped with 861 and 1861 does no differ much in prices give plus minus couple of hundred of dollars.

I may be wrong but there would not be much difference between the 2 cal. other than plating, extra jewel and the introduction of the Delrin brake on later 1861. So basically it's like a Iswara facelift model  compared to the old Iswara.

So would you go vintage or go modern?

Cheers.

Thanks for the response in advance.

Another vote for the 1861.
Unless you want an older style bracelet and aged dial look.

What's the purpose of that extra jewel in 1861?
