Nice, I like the Tag.

Thanks! Tag is the oldest watch I hv now... 23 yrs exactly. Still working but quite battered. Thinking of spending some money to get it refurbished.

The IWC and Omega is very nice, good luck bro, must be very difficult for you to pick your choice among so many good ones

Thanks Kokies, it is true that choosing a watch is getting quite difficult contrary what some may think. Being bitten by the watch bug and having constant itch to add to the collection (also juggling between available budget and wife's mood :D), it come to a point that I've to decide what are I'm looking for in my collection. From many forums that I've joined and visited, I came to the following conclusion as to what motivate a WIS;
1) Loyalty to certain brand - thus collecting majority releases by that brand.
2) Diversification - based on perhaps design, creativity, movement complications etc.
3) Status - luxury and rate brands.
4) History/Lineage.
I tend to go for history/lineage now - IWC for the B-Uhr lineage; Omega - diver watch (but my grail is actually Speedmaster - the original moonwatch - next on the list of acquisition); Panerai - link to Marina Militare and naval equipment.

back in '88, that tag is equivalent (if not higher) to pam/rolex nowadays already ...
i would place it higher than the Omega given that time period ... ;D

It was indeed a tidy sum of money those days though cost less than 4 figures. It was a gift from my dad as encouragement for being accepted into uni. Only thing was that it is a quartz movement otherwise it will be a vintage one day. I will surely keep this forever due to sentimental value.

Yeah it's better to keep the Tag, i also remembered that those days this was a very nice watch
