Hi Guys,
Am considering a panerai which is currently sold without the outer brown box. However, the other 2 boxes and everything else is still intact.
What are your opinions on the perceived "reduced value", if any, on the lack of the outer box? I understand some panerais bought from dealers dont even supply you with that outer brown box. :Cheers:

best is to keep 3 box. but i think 2 box make no different in term of value. unless you are holding PAM like 203 .... :Cheers: juts sharing.

PAMs from some of the European ADs (note : some not all) comes without the outer brown box. What you need to make sure is that the movement stickers are intact (coz sometimes the stickers are pasted on the brown box). While triple box is usually desirable , the value of the overall package would not be impacted so much for a missing brown box as comPared to missing say the movement stickers or an SE scroll etc. While I try to get full triple boxes most of the time, if a piece that I like so much dont come with it, I'd still buy. ..which I did, many times :-)..enjoy the watch, not the boxes bro

I don't think it matters, but what matters is you. Do you put a value to the outer brown box?

For me, most important is papers.
This is of course provided I like the watch alot.
If impulse buy and thinking to flip later on, make sure whole set.

I would say it is better to have it. At least it increases ur chance selling the watch compared to another seller who doesn't has the outer box given everything else the same.

I was looking at the panerai watches and the descriptions were mentioning double/triple boxes. Whats the difference?

triple box = outer brown soft paper box, black hard paper box, inner laminated wood box
