Wah liao.. how to tell??? for the pawn shop owners can't literally hv experts for all brands and models of the watches to advise them. That would be too costly. Also, it is impossible for 1 person to know all the features of all brands and their models

OK, sorry, now i know, i saw the "Fake" and "Real" and I thought the one under the "Real" is fake...
can tell from the hand if you look at the hand..but then again, if haven't see the real movement before, i think difficult to tell...
-
Is it cause of the hand on the real is deeper color?
Of based on the serial number found on the real?
-
if u do not compare side by side... its very difficult to tell.... hands or movement....
careful!
they hv some grade aaa pam nautilus.... they use eta 2892-a2 inside....

No. you could not able to tell the differences on visual inspection. You need an expert to point out the vital point/s. Normally, there are a lot of vast difference... mainly of the material used. The copy used generic movements (mostly chinxsx movement) Those back yard manufacturer) and of course their quality / control are in question.
These fakes are sometimes bought to fill up a collections / kill your urge / as novelty. Strongly utilised to bluff yourself but not others.
Novice could not able to tell the difference but a sifu (worth his salt) should able to tell you - once he/she handle / feel / weight the merchandise. last resort is to send it to the expert/
my 2 cents.
