Dear all Forumers,
Do u think certain debt is good? For instance, will you borrow money from bank to invest in shares?
Etc.
-
wslee - Never ever borrow $$ to invest in shares, unless you are holding a pink form. But that also some risk in it.
Many have burnt themselves in shares and even 'tiu lau' cannot solve their misery.

In places like US debt is good as its a record for you to earn "credit points" and also prove that you can pay back the bank if you want more loan for other things.
But in general i feel only debt i feel is fine is for home loan to buy property.

Generally the advice I've received is never to borrow to invest in shares...but then again, I'm not a millionaire (yet).
Maybe you'd want to read up a few books on finance/investing before making your move?
Cheers.

No debts most ppl won't b able to own property
no debts most ppl won't b able to drive a car
no debts most ppl can't start/do business
no debts most ppl n company will hv cashflow problem
instead of asking debts is gd or bad
u should ask how to manage debts
rich men even hv pre approved loan for him to use
because opportunity comes n goes... U dun hv cash, other who has it will take it!
But if u created debts for speculating, then u r gambling ur life n ur family

Dear all Forumers,

I think your question can be broken down to 2.
1. Do u think certain debt is good?
I would say yes... like Chrisyen pointed out, without debt, lots of things are not possible.
2.For instance, will you borrow money from bank to invest in shares?
I would say no... borrow money to dabble in shares is too risky.
Only play with shares when you can afford to lose.
For me, playing with shares is no different frm gambling.
Now, alot of banks are approving cheap and fast cash loans... You can use it to do whatever you like BUT make sure the loan is serviceable... If you can lose all the money on shares and able to service the loan without any problems... then it's your call.

depends on the amount also, if 10K-15k, still ok.
if 50K, then diff story.
