ck77,
thanks for the pointer.  The funny thing is,the more info I gather the farther the answer lies!  Now it seems I rather just bite the bullet and send it back to their respective ADs.  It's just that with Sinn, the experience with my U2 whereby the crown fell off (tat's another story altogether) is not entirely pleasant.......

Seems that few reported Sinn's QC issues.
Here is the one from terenceterence, on PVD issue.

"bro, that shop can refill sinn u2 argon gas?
Dun simply recommend oh..." quote from chrisyen.

For specific repairs (sinn u2 argon gas). you have to take it back to AD.

Please read - Type of service required?....make & model....etc.....

Just a note, for Ti, u dun polish. it "heals" itself as in the Ti oxidized and form a protective TiO2 layer that protects the base metal.

my 2 sen:  There's no beating the sense of satisfaction from polishing your polish steel sections of ur watch DIY!  For, titanium i used brasso to softly wipe off the oxidise black matters (if u could call them tat).
