Hi,
According to Grand Seiko; the deep, midnight blue of the dial is the perfect backdrop for the seconds hand that moves in the perfect glide motion. It has an almost haunting beauty, like the sky on a moonlit night and the continuous, silent and unhurried progress of the hand seems to add a new and intimate dimension to the relationship of time and nature. The diamond cut hands and indexes catch every ray of light to add a gentle sparkle which is echoed in the perfect mirror-finish surfaces of the Zaratsu-polished case. In a word, serenity.
