Title: FS: Grand Seiko 6146-8000

For sale is my GS 6146-8000. I am not the first owner of this watch, which I purchased in Hong Kong in 2011.

I had the watch slightly serviced (note: not by Seiko service centre) shortly after purchase. I did not get any parts replaced. Aside from this, the service history of this watch is unknown.

I will list down some salient features below:

> case serial number is 84XXXX, suggesting a manufacture date of April 1968 (53 yo).

> date wheel has quickset feature, but day wheel does not have quickset feature. This appears to be correct for cal.6146, but please google check, don't take my word for it.

> day wheel is in English only, no kanji. This appears to be correct for GS watches made before 1969. Again, please verify yourself.

> hacking second hand.

> the plexi crystal appears to be a replacement, slightly domed instead of the original box shaped plexi.

> slight patina at the edges of the dial.

> there appears to be a 0.5cm scratch at 8 o'clock position, cause is unknown.

> watch is running fine, approx -8 sec per day based on my own observation.

> buckle appears to be a modern replacement.

> no box and paper. Sorry.

Price is RM 5,999.
