Dear all sifus and rolex enthusiasts. I have a vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual fitted with an original Rolex permanent rivet bracelet. The watch is at least 30 years old and the bracelet has seen it's fair share of wear and tear. Couple of dings and dents here and there. Will changing the bracelet for, say, a leather band devalue the watch in anyway? (I'll still be keeping the bracelet.) Or should i opt for a replacement bracelet? Do offer your advice. Thanks.

No reason it would devalue if you keep the original bracelet.
Unless you are thinking of selling the watch, i think it doesnt make any difference changing to strap.

A good thing about Rolex watches is that, no matter where you go in the world, traders would buy even just the case without the bracelet or just the bracelet alone. Some would gladly buy your authentic Rolex dials too. Rolex ftw
In terms of "devaluing" your watch would be worth only for its case if you sell it with your self-fitted leather strap. Higher value if you sell it as a whole.
