a Rolex 16570 polar M serial for a 216570 polar pre-owned with some top up? Seeing the prices for these two used models is just a couple of thousands.
The newer model has a bigger case, better bracelet and clasp, nice orange hand and a newer movement.
Thoughts?

Only if I like the 216570 a lot more. For me, it is too much of a similar look to warrant me trading up for one. I would prefer to keep the 16570.

hence the question..
Sleek and slim at 40mm vs large and stunning 42mm and maxi dial
Light bracelet and classic style clasp vs hefty bracelet and solid new clasp
Classic 24hr GMT hand vs that popping orange 1655 style
"too much of a similar look" is so true yet they also look and feel so different and now the price difference is small.
Upgrade or have both?

Never owned a Rolex but based purely on the size and looks its the 16570 for me all day long. The 216570 is way too big and chunky.

Upgrade and hope the 216570 gets discontinued in 2021 for upgrading :Laughing_on_floor:

I bought the 16570 M serial after I saw the 216570. The latter are too big for my liking due to my tiny wrist... go for 216570 if you have a thick wrist...

Will it get discontinued? What will they replace it with? Enough GMT models in the lineup already?
Price will rocket for sure! :HammerHead:

how you feel when you stand in front of the mirror with your 16570? if u feel too small then is time to flip as the price of 16570 with cal 3186 is almost on par to preown 216570... ;D

I have the 16570 and would never trade up for the 216570. The 216570 looks out of proportion to my eye.
It's a No for me. However, watches are such personal items. One man's meat is another man's poison.

As you are aware by now, smaller watches are coming back to trend.
Unless you have a big sizes wrist, 40mm or less is more comfortable.
One look towards to Sinn U1 (2020) novelties should gauge the trend.

Maybe wearing big watches too long that the 40mm begins to feel small. The old tin can clasp is something I won't miss though.

Its down to your wrist size and personal preference. It could be flashy or under radar but these watch are already subtle looking anyways. Haha

Yes, and will take some time to digest it for the size change though.

I owns a 16570, tried a 216570 at a used shop before, it just didn't work out for me. There are a lot of difference if you compared them side by side. the extra 2mm just don't feel so right on my wrist. Maybe if i wears the 216570 longer, I might grow to likes it.
