so u like it or not? Why?
-
Can I choose option 3, don't know ;D
Need to try it on and feel it.
Is it tougher and lighter than SS?
-
I believe it's new material... Pure bronze is soft!
I never feel these b4 except the safari... Which
is solid n the color is special...
-
Heard the bronze with turn patina with times?
-
cheaper than rose gold but give u the glittering look. i wonder if they sell it @ more expensive than SS?
btw, bronze will form green oxidation i.e. copper(II) chloride and copper(II) carbonate . hence u might have green patina on the watch :)
bronze is hard and brittle. bronze is not pure, it is an alloy mainly consists of copper.

I thought Genta designed the Gefica for hunters in the jungle so that the watch case wont reflect light ans scare off the animals?
So far i have only seen the Genta Gefica and also the new Bulgari version. I like it lots it has different shade in every part of the watch.
No comment on other brands since havent seen it before.
-
not my cup of tea. cant comprehend any sort of beauty from that color.
-
i kinda like it .... its something different..and it puts some characteristics in a watch.. IMHO
-
wear it loooong enough, it will look like Titanic steel replica ;D
-
its definitely not pure bronze but a mixture of alloys.
anyway I think the draw of it is over time it does changes colour and THAT gives it the added character that some collectors look out for. Personally I think it's cool and love to have one.
Apart from the big boys as mentioned the micro watch brands like helson are doing in their shark diver range. I much prefer the Benarus moray with a brown dial.

(image shamelessly taken from benarus blog)
here you can see how the colours have changed.
In hindsight, Anonimo actually did launch a limited edition Millemetri in bronze for the JP market back in 2007. It's just a case of the 'fad' catching on with the other brands I suppose....
-
I don't mind having a bronze watch, provided that the design is right.
-
This gonna look unique with aged.
-
Me likey, especially the bronze Shark Divers. I like how bronze will turn brownish after a while. But 1 bronze watch in the collection is enough. ;D
Here's a borrowed photo from stew77 at 3T of his bronze Moray before and after only 1 hour of treating the case.

bronze will be nice, just like titanium which i love because of the light weight

I did not think that bronze, regardless of the metal mixture is anywhere near the light weight of Ti. The weight of Bronze, depending on the alloy mixture should hover near SS if not a bit more.

another one... trend? or china start making it???
-
Now that one looks nice!
Love the simplicity of it. Better without the date.
Price?
-
WOW... this is nice.... from far it looks like gold...
-
Definately not pure bronze as it is kind of soft in pure form.
-
Bronze is not a base metal or pure form like copper. Bronze is an alloy. It is hard and brittle.
-
Chris,
I went to the Zenton website but no trace of the watch you posted, prototype model?
