Recently, i am looking for Rolex Explorer 214270, however, there's no luck in AD, most of them had standard reply of "no stock" "waiting list", Is this piece is people going after? Appreciate if you all could share some tips in acquiring them! Thank you in advance!

I have also placed my name on the list with several ADs for the 214270 about 4 or 5 months ago. Still waiting.....but in no hurry.
One of my colleague recently asked his regular AD about the prospect for same piece. The answer he got was "very difficult".

patience and perseverance is key! good luck in finding your favorite piece

Ss sports model is hard to come by, especially in Asia. Came across one in Europe . I was told that the watch has been on display for 2 days without any taker.

Can you share with part of Europe precisely? I guess central Europe should be a good starting point

I got mine in Italy. when you come across any Rolex AD, just go in and try your luck.

Seems like every AD here does not have any sports model in stock and if you do want one, regardless of model, theres a waiting list which can run for years.

I feel the Explorer 39 is really an understated and underappreciated piece. It looks elegant with both suits and casual wear. Very versatile. Swap it on a leather strap and it looks rugged and cool.

It actually depends on our luck. Last year, I ask my AD whether he has Explorer I. And he replied yes, there is one piece just came in. I am not even a high end purchaser. I just bought a Tudor BB SS once from him. Immediately I told him, I will be coming now to pay and collect. So all the Waiting List by Ads are just for Show?
Keep asking every now and then...you might be the lucky ones. If you are a frequent traveller...always check stocks at Airports.
That was how I got my Explorer I. Luv every minute of wearing it.

In Heathrow T5 today and they had a few SS models - Explorer 1, Explorer 2 and AirKing
They are selling at RRP as “duty free” so no reason for buying there.
A dealer in Glasgow had a couple of Explorers sitting, and are subject to the 20% VAT refund upon departure

I was on waitlist for 214270 and 114300. The 114300 came, so I picked it. It was only a month and I already feel the itch of not owning the explorer which is my top on the list. Might plan to sell the watch and save up when 214270 came.
