Guys, I am looking for a watch box which can hold 8 - 10 large watches. Prefer full solid lid as I do want display glass/plastic. Anyone have any ideas where I can find one?
FYI, I already have a small box (holds 5) from Nazri.
There seems to be a lot of people in WUS using Pelican cases - anyone in the forum having the same idea?
I was hunting for a box in Sg Wang yesterday. I ended up buying a watch instead ;D - the Seiko SRP043k1 aka spork
-
Try House of leather.
or surf our sales section...
I bought mine at sunway

u can go at fossil..they have a full leather watch box for sale
there's also a seller at mxdah.my selling watch box/case as low as rm80 with 10 slots i think
or u can go to sungei wang plaza..there's a shop on the first floor i think..near the back entrance..they have all kinds of watch boxes and cases and winders..damn cheap..cheaper than sellers online..i bought mine there..its rm100 for the 10 slot box carrying case and rm110 i bought for the normal 10 slot watch case ..cheers!

Hi maximillian,
Was at Sg Wang plaza yesterday...at the shop you mentioned. The boxes are cheap but not to my liking. They didn;t have full wood lid.
Plenty on ebay but price + shipping is high (especially shipping since these box aren't light).
-
aah i overlooked on the full wood lid thing ;D sorry!
well, last time i went to 1 utama ,i cant remember the shop's name though,..its beside the hardware store, new wing,in front of the gelato store and cinnabon store..lower ground floor i think..they have a few watch boxes with the lid which is solid wood..but its around 400 plus i think..other than that,u can try timeless gallery at starhill gallery..they have a nice range too..but be prepared to pay hehe

So far I have seen the local MRSP going between RM1.5k ~ RM1.7k
-
thanks for the picture and info bro.. Seems too expensive for me.. :)
-
a friend of mine got his on rubber strap about rm800 after discounts at sg wang.. ;D
-
Hey Max,
I didn't pay retail (MRSP) price....got it for less than rm1k. The metal bracelet alone cost approx rm200 (online) but I was never interested in a rubber strap so I did not check price for the SRP043K2 (rubber). Your friends price sounds about right...maybe even cheaper
Mind to PM me which shop?
-
i'll ask him about it and let u know :) cheers!
-
Quality wooden watch box are quite expensive in Malaysia. I went to a few watch shops, and the cost of the good quality wooden box were RM700 upwards. I have yet to find a shop that sells quality wooden watch box less than RM300.
-
those quality wooden boxes, what is the wood made of? locally made?
-
u can try go to Tang's as i saw they have alot nice wooden watch box as well.
-
I get my friend to bring some in from China when he goes there. Made from solid wood and quite fairly priced.

Been to Tang's .... both Empire and Gardens has it. Brand is Mitch & March or something like that. Nice, good quality = nice + good price (by this I mean high...very high). If not mistaken nothing below RM600 at least.
-
finally got the store's name
[Shop name removed]
LG059,lower ground floor,sg wang plaza,jalan sultan ismail,55100 KL

Gardens? Is that the new shopping mall in Mid Valley?
-

Where can I find something like this?

Or this but in better quality leather (this one is faux leather) -

I prefer something that I can lay the watches flat. Don't want those with the little cushions push into cubby holes
-
Got this from Amazon - a pelican case that can fit 8 super-sized watches (a foot and an half wide)

Only problem is the huge invicta brand in white lettering on the front of the box (<RM300)

Another option for a travelling watch briefcase
-
Try amcorp mall
Plenty of choices
-
I use a Nanuk 910. Fits 6-8 watches depending on how you cut the cubes out.

Problem with this is if you have a watch on a bracelet, it will scratch up your caseback.

Won't the watches bang against each other?

There is a centre divider. See the flip at the top part of the upper half. No issue of banging.

Oh, what about side to side?

When the case is shut, the middle divider creates a slight compression that keeps everything stable. When i want to power up a lot of my autos, i use the bag to swing. Good exercise.

I have pelican from my B&R. Problem with them is that the latch is hard to use, and noisy.
