Title: Question about mechanical alarm watches.
Post by: hanz079 on January 15, 2011, 06:06:29 PM
Might sound like a noob question but anyone here have experiences with any mechanical alarm watches?
How does it sound generally?
Came across a video and it sounds like a lawn mower buzzing away. ???
Does it sound like a minute repeater with gongs and dings and dongs?
Looking at a GD selling Maurice Lacroix Master Reveil Limited Edition MP7118-SS001-110 at a tempting price.
TIA

The sound is different for each watch. Try JLC EWA. One of the best sounding alarm watch I have handled before. YouTube is your best friend if you want to get an idea on how the sound is like.

1 day I chanced upon a JLC Amvox 1 in a gathering. The alarm sounded like a mechanical desktop clock. Loud but not crispy
