Title: Homage Daytona
Post by: tayman on September 23, 2018, 12:05:23 PM
Hi guys, what you guys think for this homage? It look very nice to me and since is no chance for me to afford actual daytona.
I planned to buy one of these. Anyone got any review on this? The movement is mecha- quartz. Any idea?

I definitely vote Steinhart over what you found.
Check out something like this that channels the Newman Daytona that is no longer made by Rolex: https://www.steinhartwatches.de/en/ocean-one-vintage-chronograph.html

If you are buying the Parnis is you might as well get a fake Rolex, as the Parnis is kinda in no man's land. i.e. it is purely a copycat Daytona and risks being labelled a poor imitation.

The Steinhart upon a glance, a viewer will know its not really today's Rolex Daytona, and so there's just enough differentiation that you get the feel of something familiar but without getting the 'fake copycat' label.

Steinhart or Alpha would be good choices.

Yeh Steinhart should be a solid choice.

Or if you’re keen on a more vintage approach, you could try Tiger Concept.
