Hi guys,
There's been a request to have a separate survey to determine MWF members' favourite affordable watch brand.
Please help out by voting for your favourite watch brand which did not break your bank account last year.
Only one vote per member please.
The poll will run for only 7 days.

can longines add to the the list?

Can add Orient or not ?

Yeah I vote Orient

Nothing says bang for the buck better than Seiko.
For under rm500 you get a fully in house movt and everything. Even the oil is Seiko specific.
-
Sinn and Glycine for me...but dont have ;)

Cannot agree more. My vote goes to Seiko. I bought the most watches from Seiko in 2010.
Another bang for the buck, Orient is a close 2nd in my book.

The list goes on...and on..and IMHO you cannot please all people in all times........
Poor Danny had to add more.........................

I had a hard time deciding between Seiko and Invicta, but in the end I voted for Invicta cos Seiko's not lacking votes in this poll

what is affordable? watches avg RM$500? or under RM1k?
anyway, missing affordable such as UHR, CW, Guinand, Tissot, Hamilton (maybe), Longines (maybe), Epos
-
I've added the following brands:
Sinn, Epos, Titoni, Tissot, Longines, Hamilton, Ingersoll, Victorinox and Mido.
There is also the option to change your vote in case you wish to vote for the newly added brands.
The limit of 1 vote per user remains unchanged.

walau eh only me who commit sinss :Laughing_on_floor:

No orient !
-
i struggling to choose between ball n damasko
ball come up with very new invention.... the world time and the rotor lock.... and great design new watch model
while damasko improved alot on service, production and of course the launch of new manufacture movement...
besides that the new da46, super hard black pvd models, upgraded silicon models....
so my vote goes to damasko in the end for 2010....
-
I voted Seiko since to me the key word is affordable. My personal definition is the brand must have entry level models below 1k.
I am also a big fan of Ball but the entry level Ball whick is the Fireman definitely well above that.

No orient !
Orient added.

voted for poljot. who else voted for polhot? just wandering.

as expected... many seiko fans here so leading the poll by far...
but i do hope u guys think and consider, vote bcoz of the brand performance in 2010 not the watch u bought or the brand u love....

I also like poljot and have among my collection 2 poljot based Aviators. But as far as I know poljot in itself no longer exists but there are a few brands with poljot based calibers (Aviator/Sthurmanskie/Dennisov,etc). There are some poljot NOS on ebay which is affordable (<1k) but most of those brands mentioned are more upscale...

Can you tell the Rolex guys next door the same message? I think the most ground shaking things Rolex did last year were to increase the price twice! :Laughing_on_floor:
Seiko actually had a tumultuous year with the firing of its CEO and financial performance issues. However, its Space Walk Commemorative edition won the Sport Watch of the Year at Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2010. Beyond that, i am not sure what Seiko has achieved this year.

As stated earlier the intent is to simply let members vote their favourite brands for 2010, not to judge the horological achievements, technical prowess and merits of each watch brand.
That's beyond the scope of this survey. So let's just have fun and vote with for whichever brand that appeals to us the most regardless of the reason.
