Title: Zenith accuracy.. acceptable?
Post by: lowengen on February 23, 2018, 05:18:17 PM
Hi all,

I got myself the new Zenith El Primero 2017 version 39mm, and had been keeping time on it.. over the span of 1 week ++, it seems to be running at +9 secs / day constantly..

I that an normal rate seing that it is on hi-beat (36,000)? Or should i get it to service centre to check it out? if it is normal, can i still get it regulated for better accuracy?

In my experience, the Zeniths I had were very accurate, definitely within COSC range. Since your watch is new, I suggest that you let the timing settle down. If you are still unhappy after a month or so, send it in for regulation.

I have an El Primero 1969 38mm and for over 3yrs and its currently running about 3-6s fast per day. Previously was 1-4s fast per day. I suggest you to get it checked if it still runs that fast after 2 months.
