I like more simetri dial especially no cyclops.
Don't need to adjust date when not wearing
Can change time anytime without upset the movement.
-
I think I would for a dress watch or a chrono maybe. But not an everyday watch or a diver.
-
My preferred watch for "office work" purpose will be one with a date. However I prefer watches without date for rotation.
-
I will go for watch with date for convenience purpose even we can check date & world time from our smart phone but nothing could change that single glance to know the date!

I like when people claim that they need to check the date several times a day and that is the reason they REALLY need the date function. As if checking only once was not enough and remember it for the rest of the day!

I sign several documents, papers and reports everyday, and I usually put on the date below my signatures. A watch with a date makes it faster for me to remember the correct date.
-
I bring them during vacation, just adjust the time without the date when reach the other country. Vacation why worry about dates
-
I perceived watch without date is more balanced for minimalist.
-
I definitely need the date function, kinda used to it.
Feel weird if there is no date.
Hot day even better.
Just a personal preference
-
office - with date
vacation - with or without date is fine for me
*personal preference

Now I’m presbyopic so without reading specs, I can barely see the date also. Haha. And it’s troublesome to set the date when u have few to rotate
-
A fine dress watch without date is good for formal occasion or suit.
My Omega Geneve/ De Ville, Rolex Cellini, JLC Reverso, Vulcain are so slim and sleek with formal attires.

Well some prefer the look of a no-date. Cleaner also Ive got to admit. But I work in the office and knowing the date is really really useful. Also, just the date function provides a nice useful complication and some watches like the Hamilton Khaki King actually benefits from the day-date look at the 12 o'clock position. However, same cannot be said for the Rolex Sub or DJ as a cleaner look and the watch looks somewhat, more refined.

No Date for the win!
I do not hate watches with date, but I prefer watches without date. However, if the date is incorporated into the dial design and not an after thought, then I can accept it. E.g. Lange 1.

i prefer watches with no dates for rotation... just imagine if yr watch stopped at 3 o clock, you can just pick it up to wear at the same time, give it a gentle shake and wear it... so convenient
