i believe the crown guard was screwed on as an attachment / not complete solid block>

You are right David. The pic below shows more clearly the crown guard and crown construction. I particularly like the blue synthetic spinel cabochon on the crown.

White dial with roman index is a must

I had a hard time choosing between the black dial and white dial version. Finally selected the white dial for its classical Cartier dressy look.

Thanks Alvin. It's certainly more dressy compared to the usual sports models from Rolex, Omega and Panerai.

timeless design, luv the blue jewel ... they come in other colors ?

Variations include S/S case with gold bezel and solid gold case.

Looking sharp buddy. That is a really cool Cartier, haven't seen this type of round cased model around. Anyway congrats on the ownership.
