Hey guys, what do you think of the latest watch from Orient Star, the Mechanical Moon Phase model. It looks really elegant to me, and the complications are really tempting (power reserve, moonphase, date, semi-skeleton). I think it will retail for between RM4-5k here in M'sia. What's your opinion on it? You can see the watch on Orient Star's Japanese site http://www.orient-watch.jp/orientstar/prod_moon-phase.php (http://www.orient-watch.jp/orientstar/prod_moon-phase.php).

Orient Star range is seemed started in 2005. I was looking at this watch in preown piece market see if the dial, hands, and movement can withstand the age and the oxidization level of this watch.

looks cool, i like the middle part skeleton that looks a little like tour billion.
But for the price, there is no other similar one i can think of.

I think it could be in the 6+k range considering the current skeleton is already close at that level (MSRP).

Ahh it is priced cheaper than their skeleton model though. Tempting... to go for Japan Made or Swiss Made

Very dressy. Although I personally feel the skeleton portion on the watch makes it look a bit tacky but then again I am not a fan of skeleton watches.

Orient needs to up their design game. Honestly, their offerings looks rather generic.
Their 'Stylish and Smart' series is refreshing. This is the spirit Orient should encourage in their designers.
I guess the corporate restructuring the company have been facing for the last couple of years has put a damper on innovation.
