the new one looks "cleaner" on dial.

Tough choice ! Will decide based on price.  ;D

First one look more classic, 2nd one look more clean on the dial.
personally, i prefer 2nd one.  ;D

Love the 2nd one..the classic + trendy feel... and the movement has some improvement over the older model...

but a true collector may go for the first one which has closer look to the vintage  :Cheers:

The 1st one has binary colors while the 2nd 1 has 3 colors. I like the simplicity  and the extra indicator red to indicate low power :)

I read somewhere the BP with the turbine like second hand was designed by a jr. IWC watch maker. He won 1st prize for this his design @ the yearly IWC design competition or something. Sorry I dun hv the URL with me. Will post if I found it again.

Yes, some discussion on this piece in several forums. Can try/check out on the iwc forum too(www.iwc.com, then login and go to their member forum ;))..

this model is made limited to few pieces only..it's a tribute to someone or something, can't remember  ;D

it's call Big Pilot’s Watch Limited Edition Markus Bühler,
limited on 12 pcs, and only 10 pcs will be sold, handwind skeletonized UNITAS pocketwatch movement and the 1st BP with see tru caseback.
Reference: 5003-01

Tht gentleman from HK aka BP freak ;D ;D,claimed tht he is the only and the 1st one who own this watch outside of Switzerland, Europe perhaps.
