Hi All,
My friend's mum has several watches that are not so common in the market and would like them to be evaluated. She wants the valuation to be printed on paper too.
Any kind of this service available in Kuala Lumpur?
Thanks in advance. :-)

Perhaps do some research in google to get the average value and print-screen it. Easier that way.

I'm not so sure about paper valuation but I believe valuation, be it in watches or other forms of investment, is subjective based on demand and supply. You can only possibly get a rough estimate of the watch price through online research of preowned prices through forums/shops etc. This is also an estimate cause prices posted may not be prices sold. Similarly, different countries have different demand as well. And prices in 2011 would highly likely be different today.
So to get it on paper, I'm not to sure about that.

More art than science. Until a transaction goes through, the best would be estimations. Trying to get a written valuation by anyone is difficult. Best to compare with the closest possible examples using the internet. At least it could help give you a ballpark figure.

Two apps that are useful when trying to figure out ballpark pricing are Chrono24 and Watchbox. I've seen Chrono24 prices referenced in sales and Watchbox generates a table charting recent market sales for your specific model. Even vintage pieces are able to track using the app.
