Title: Does the serial number indicate the newness?
Post by: nefc on March 01, 2017, 08:44:47 AM
Does the serial number watches indicates the newness of the watch? Eg: 01234 is produced later than the 00123?

Or it is just plain ID of the watch?

The serial number indicates the time the watch is made. format depends on the manufacturer though.

Different watches come with various type of serial number which could represent year made, manufactured batch etc.
