Just received a message from a JLC AD that price going up from new year onwards.

Not sure. Based on past trend, 5% to 8% likely

I can confirm that this is true. My contact at the boutique messaged me yesterday informing of the bad news. JLC boutique prices has always been very good here in Malaysia

I also heard JLC will increase in Jan 2017. Any news when Omega and Rolex will adjust their price for 2017?  :(

to my surprise the watch shop in KLIA is selling cheaper than the KL Boutique

@AbbasHabshee, unfortunately it has everything to do with the weakening local currency.
A brief historical lookup doesn't make for good reading:
1st Dec 2016 - 1 Swiss Franc = MYR 4.4
1st Jun 2016 - CHF 1 = MYR 4.2
1st Dec 2015 - CHF 1 = MYR 4.1
1st Jun 2015 - CHF 1 = MYR 3.9
1st Dec 2014 - CHF 1 = MYR 3.6

Basically it had weakened over 20% against the Swiss Franc over the previous 2 years to the price increase. Great if you are work abroad and come here to buy a Watch, unfortunately not if you work locally.

@mathiaswatch, prices quoted tax free at the airport  :thumbsup:

Just an extra info for those who wanna know, the latest price for the ultra thin master perpetual calendar (worn by mr strange) is as such:

Rose gold - 98k
SS - 58k

AD at gardens.
