Which will you choose?

Sub C
reasons
---------
(1) more robust/workhorse
(2) good looking/versatile for any occasions/dress up or down..
(3) better value
(4) probably cheaper to service
(5) i like sportier watch

Depends on the purpose. For an everyday tool watch, go with the Sub C. For a dress watch with a suit, I would say a reverso haa a more charming edge. My relationship with Rolex is cyclical, sometimes I like it sometimes I hate it. Everyone has one though, which is a deal breaker for me.

This is like comparing apples and oranges,it depends on your taste.
-
Reverso for me

Definitely Sub C
-
1. Reverso
2. Sub

They are both very different watches and you should have both in your collection. As to which one you should buy first...really depends on what other watches you have in your current collection. Sub C is definitely more versatile but not nearly as elegant as a Reverso for more formal events. I would personally go for the classic 1931 reverso dial if you could find one.

+ 1 on what yikkie mentioned. Sub C is versatile, no sweat problems, no-hand washing problem. Depending what your daily rountine is. Again reverso is a beautiful watch especially the 1931 but its a formal watch . Sub, is a daily beater . If you are a corporate person , the reverso la, with long sleeves and suite , its hard to beat .
-
I certainly will get Reverso, not sub c.
-
vote for reverso
-
Sub C
I also own one.
-
I guess you won't go wrong with either. Each comes with equal amount history or prestige.
Having owning both. Try em on at a local shop. Each of em has a different weight and feel to it.
P.S. some reverso are manual wound.

Both are totally different category of watch. I guess it'll depwnds on what are ur frequent occasions to wear the watch.
Sub C is very versatile, sporty can, formal so-so. And very loud! Very recognizable in every occasion.
Reverso is really formal and discreetly oozes its own charm. Especially nice to pair with a suit with cufflinks. Not many ppl will recognize the watch, though. But i take it as a plus point whenever i juz want to keep my head low.
If u want to get the reverso, i suggest u get the duo face version eg Day&Night. U'll get another black dial on ur watch which in my opinion is a bit dress down kinda dial. Juz right whenever u want to finish ur day with a beer or two at the pub and a folded sleeves. The black dial can be paired with jeans as well.
Juz my two cents. But then u can oso buy and keep both Reverso and Sub C. U definitely won't lose any money if u keep it for few yrs!
-
The Sub C.
The Reverso is very nice, and equally compelling in terms of value, heritage and prestige. However, I would have trouble in actually wearing it as it is more niche compared to the Sub.
-
Being a sports watch fan n a t-shirt kinda guy, Rolex in a heartbeat
-
I like both ;)
Guess it depends when u wanna wear it. Its apple to orange comparison :D
-
for daily use, i would prefer sub and for formal use, i prefer the reverso. i want both :Laughing_on_floor:
-
They are two total different watch, different history and style, but when come to resale value you can't go wrong with the SUB! :mooning:
-
Buy both

Both...as two of them are totally different and both are just as appealing
-
The Reverso is so iconic, hard not to choose it. So is the Sub, but JLC always gets my vote ;)
-
Both. One for casual one for formal
-
If this was your first watch, or if you have not have a diver watch in your collection, then you could do no wrong with a Sub or SD4k (top-up a little for a watch that is much better than a Sub, looks-wise and technically). But if you have gone through a few watches and/or lack a dress watch, then a Reverso duo would fit in just nice. A Sub or SD4k is a very versatile watch.
-
Sub c! Looks good on any attire.
-
For me, it would the the JLC Reverso.
-
I will need both for different occasion usage. Both are nice. Can't go wrong.
-
You will end up getting both. Both are classy watches with history. The Reverso for dressy events and Sub C as a daily beater. If you want a watch for every occasion, get the Sub C. Just my two cents.
-
Owning both (1931 reverso), I would say buy the Sub first as it is more versatile and goes both with formal and casual wear.
The Reverso is also an amazing watch but more formal.
You can't go wrong with either watch.
-
If you already own a 'R' then go for JLC.
For me always first watch will be 'R' then the rest is very much up to own preference.
