If this is true, Rolex finally won the fight against their own ADs. Was made to understand this was the plan Rolex had to stamp out grey market dealers years ago but was blocked by the ADs. They suspected the ADs were the primary conduit of supplies for the grey market.

There is a long thread on a popular Rolex forum. Just search under the Rolex General Discussion for "BIG warranty change?". Original post date was 23, November.

Let me get this straight, the 1st video mentioned bout sending rolex watch (bought at ad) for service within dat 5 years is free? As i understand all warranties for watches is for only repair any defects on the watch dat coming from factory.

Warranty covers manufacturer defects, not normal overhaul servicing.

I don't think it should make much of a difference except maybe now the pre owned model could be a little cheaper as there are no warranties anymore. But the difference in prices makes up for the lack of warranties, furthermore most grey market Rolex offered by the shops provide a one year in house warranty.
I've had a few Rolex, non has ever broken down on me before, same goes for most of my friends who own Rolex.

I have few Rolex watches, the Warranty from RSC is not so important to me, because I have my way to soft my problems ! If the Watch come without original warranty card will difficult to sell on future !

so far i read in rolex forum ther is no official statment by rolex. honestly, warranty should follow the watch and not the owner. like if you buy secondhand car that still under waranty

That dude is somewhat reputable. And he himself contacted Rolex. He only confirmed for USA though. So overseas ppl need to confirm here.
