Title: Dial size for royal oak
Post by: adamjohari on September 25, 2016, 05:28:36 PM
Why does the Royal Oak 15450st at 37mm look like a PP5167 at 40mm??

What optical illusion is this??

It's due to the design of  casing from point of view  between lug to lug.
Although the glass diameter  is smaller ,it looks bigger than most watches  it's size.
If it's on a bracelet it always looks bigger than on a leather strap.

At 37 mm, I believe it should fit a lady's wrist elegantly .

I'll try to post a pic later. Hard to do in the office.

But the guy who bought it is a male. And it fits quite nicely to be honest. The 41mm one, seems to be too large for most people. With the lugs extending more than the wrist.

I have the new 41mm and the old 36mm (moonphase day date). The 41mm wears a bit too big and the 36mm slightly on the smaller side. Having said that I prefer the 36mm more.

My wife has the new 37mm and that is the perfect size for me.
