You have spent MYR 100,000 in total (including accumulated net flipping costs)! Will you continue to buy watches?
Note: please remember to cast your vote.

Great!
Kindly cast your vote. Thanks.

This is similar to asking our ministers to declare their assets. You probably get no response :)

Will start to flip those pieces with least wrist time.

Haha..it is indeed a motivation to spend more...

If this is what you like to spend your hard earned money on - go for it

Of course will make sure that sufficient fund is place for child education, emergency and saving purpose, then the excess will put for hobby.

Thanks for adding the proviso. You're right. Never neglect your responsibilities. Once done, whatever is left - enjoy.

Since you are having this dilemma, the second option is the best remedy :)

We normally buy piece by piece (I stand corrected if the bulk sharks were around), so you don't see a sudden outflow of RM100k per piece. But buy, flip, buy, flip... and yes, the amount would slowly add up over time. But WIS do derive pleasure over the cycle, so the question was do you place the "pleasure" as being valued more than the "losses" from the flips? To me, it's more of a journey than the destination, when it comes to collecting watches. I have learnt so much about watches and movements over time, just as I have learnt so much more about myself and the evolving change in taste as my maturity sets in, during this enjoyable journey.

I locked the voting poll.
There 22 votes casted. With average number of daily online viewers at 90.
This poll result is conclusive and valid. :Dancing_banana:
Majority of members here will continue spending money on watches regardless they have spent more than RM 100,000 or not.

If Pareto is correct, the 20% of 7500 members , about 1500 of them should have watch collection values that are more than RM 100k in total. That's equivalent of RM 150million worth of watches at least already in our members watch box.

In this case I don't think so. The assumptions are too spurious to make such hypothesis significant.
