Hi all,
Just wanted to gauge the general interest of members.......
-
My focus mainly "rugged" watches such as Divers & Pilots type

Prefer watches without numbers on the dial be it roman or arabic except for the date ;D
-
I have no specific preference as long as the watch appears to me and it is affordable to me, except that I normally prefer date window on it.
-
Sports, Dress, Dive and anything that appears to me? LOL
Usually those 3 categories i stated :)
-
Simple shinny dial, Sharp or curvy hands, Arabic numeral attracts me the most!
-
Sports for me
-
I'll try to avoid domed sapphire crystals. I had only one watch with that kind sapphire crystal. I can't tolerate even it is only a slightly domed.
-
Interesting to hear the various directions the hobby takes....
-
I try to avoid indexes that comes in arabic or roman numbers LOL just like plain index that are not numbered ;D movement is also a consideration but since income isnt there yet, cant really complain much
-
I have a mix of Arabic numbers, Arabic numbers and markers and Roman numerals. To this point I don't have anything with markers or indexes only. That's not saying I won't have one in the future. I just haven't seen one that goes to the top of "I've got to have it now" list.
I add watches based on price, style, function but most importantly it needs to "sing" to me. Some I thought I wanted just didn't do it for me once I tried it on.
-
I voted for dive watches, even though i don't dive. There is something about them that makes it so appealing.
-
I voted chronographs but apart from that i focus on watch cases and calibers.
-
I admire dress watch but always ended up with sport one due to their durability and ease to resell
-
My collection doesnt hv any specific theme..dress, divers, chronographs i love 'em all. Dont wanna limit.my options. However i only buy watches when i have a specific occasion (anniversary, promotion etc). That way every watch has a special meaning. Plus i can hoard watches w/o my wife complaining. LOL

pilots, particularly IWC collecting all big pilots
-
Interestingly no votes for military watches.......
-
Diver and pilot for me.
-
Just voted dive watch cause of its legibly and "tough" so its very practical IMHO.
By the way anyone here a faithful brand watch collector i.e. focus on only one brand?
-
My vote goes to dive watch. Come to think of it, all my watches are dive watches :Laughing_on_floor:

Thanks guys for the votes.
Will be closing the thread now. Interesting stats.
