Being WIS, I am sure that many of us tend to baby our watches. However, being biased towards mechanical movements, I am also quite sure that many of us would have watches that we treat as the equivalent of G-Shocks in that we bring these watches everywhere in our pursuit of adventures. So what is yours?
I would start the ball rolling. Mine used to be the legendary Seiko Monster and SKX, both which were go-anywhere type of watches. They were chic and cheap, and dependable.

Then I found the Ball Hydrocarbon "Mad Cow" that I would take for extreme sports. It was light given the titanium construction, it could survive extreme shocks, and typical of Ball, it shone like crazy in the darkest of places.

And as I go to plantations a lot where greenery is uniformity, I then switched towards the Rolex Hulk as the timepiece of choice. It had endured very rough 4x4 adventure rides, banged ceaselessly against all types of elements, yet kept really good time todate. Battle scars abound, the Hulk was a piece that generated a fair bit of interests given its outlook (and never going to the darling of classifieds).

The rest of the watches, I tend to baby like... well, babies. The SD4000 for instance, has yet to have even the tiniest of scratch despite being worn in rotation. Ditto most of the other watches that I wear only for saner daily activities.
So what is your mechanical-equivalent of the G-Shock?

My regular dose of 'rugged' is limited to bringing out the kids on weekends. For that, I used to have my trusty Exp2 polar which I think is one of the best 'luxury beater' watches out there, if there is this kind of thing.
Then I was looking for a fun watch and the Pelagos popped up. Now it gets most of the weekend wrist time.
Of course, nothing beats a G-Shock when you need one. On a recent island holiday, a DW5600 accompanied me during most of the day time.

I wear my Tissot Sea Star (old and discontinued model) for tough wear. Previously owned a Seiko 5, but lost it somewhere and not acquired a new one.
Btw, I owned a G-shock too..

Inox unfortunately is not mechanical. At least for now. Would really love to see a mechanical inox.
I'm really not sure about the rolex that suggested here. Rolex is hardly synonym with g shock. While I understand it's build quality is great, still the price disparity is big too. It may be rugged. But it is not G shock level. Most of the modern watch these days can be as rugged as rolex. I know this forum really love the rolex, but.....
Sinn or Damasko without a doubt make more sense for this comparison. Or Archimede Outdoor Protect.
I welcome discussion.

My gshock equivalent would be the Orient MForce. Tough bastards. Got 4 of the series.

probably my skx007 or gruppo gamma.

Mine would be Seiko monsters, skx171, blumo, mm300; citizen NY0040, NY0054; Ball Mad Cow.

My ball mad cow survived in an car accident and it's still working well without any impact to its accuracy.
