If for me will buy Rolex Submariner 14060M preowned, I can said you would regret ! I have Rolex GMT Master II COKE bought 18 months ago & current market prices already add another RM7K for this Watch.
I also have another 2 Omega;
1) Omega Speedmaster Michael Schumacher Legend Collection Chronograph Co-Axial Movement Size : 44.25mm.
2) Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Skyfall limited edition 5007 pcs & size: 42mm.
I also bought another Rolex Explorer II 16570 unworn conditions below RM20K.
Hope my opinion can help you.
-
Rolex!!!
-
IWC Pilot Chronograph 3777
-
Preowned rolex sub or explorer.
-
There is a lot of value to be had in the pre-owned market. Agree with the suggestion to get the 14060M. Panerai Base models also within that range in mint condition.

Well, there's always the bigger Datejust ii sibling at 41mm; but I think the classic 36mm dress watch is just right. For diver watches, then I draw the line at 40mm and above to have the necessary wrist presence.

Yes the speedy pro is a wonderful piece and mine has a lot of wrist time : )

Rm20k.. I will consider (new watches )
Omega speedmaster moonwatch (rm14k to 19k depending on models )
Rolex oyster perpetual rm20k
Panerai 000 (rm18.9k)
Zenith pilot (around rm15k)
IWC pilot mark18 rm14.7k(after less)
IWC chrono rm18k (after less)
And many more choices
If preowned , check out amcorp mall, Wingwah , watchclub, MWF, plenty of choices

preowned Rolex Submariner or Explorer 1 or 2

Newer (2000 onwards) submariner mostly above 20k

Tudor, Panerai base model, Omega, are my priority choice for price within this range.
-
I would go for a Zenith or Omega
Zenith Pilot/El Primero
Omega Aqua terra
-
Speaking of Zenith, I was actually quite fascinated, recently, with Zenith El-Primero Synopsis. I was informed that it's around 18-ish.

If you are referring to the 16570 then yes, it can be had for below 20k infact much lower. But if you're referring to the 216570, they are all well above 20k.

I just flipped a 216570 a couple of months back and thank goodness you were not the buyer- otherwise I guess I would be looking at way <RM20k, especially since the watch was worn on rotational basis. But sometimes, the prices that were thrown out by people "in the know" out there were really funny and/or ridiculous. Recently, I was offered a 2015 unworn bi-metal piece at a pretty decent price. This was from one of those grey resellers. I was wearing my 116600 at that time, and he offered to take my watch in under a trade-in. Taking into consideration that it was almost-new with no scratches/dings/dents at all and with 4+ years of warranty left, he told me that he could offer me a pretty high price at RM18k! I was like :Startled: as Rolex IS selling this new at RM38k. He then told me that Rolex has recently reduced the price for 116600 and RRP was now RM21k, so he was paying a high price for my almost-new 116600. I asked if he could get new stocks of 116600 at his stated price (which he said yes) and ordered 5 pieces. Needless to say, he couldn't deliver.
Coming back to the thread, I would say that Tudor fits the bill perfectly for a watch <RM20k. My previous experience with the Black Bay and Pelagos 2-liner was pleasant; and if they have the Blue Pelagos without all that additional texts, I would chalk up a unit too as it's a great daily-beater.
-
Fully agreed that Tudor fits perfectly your requirement. As a Tudor owner, I'm very satisfied with the build quality and design, value for money indeed.
-
Wow... i should put Tudor Pelagos in my next watch radar. but... i just very very dislike the hour hand shape. Will there be a new version of it soon?

Don't go for the Pelagos simply because we say that it's a nice piece. For me, I liked the Pelagos as its snowflake hands were uniquely-Tudor and a blast from its past, and it was way bang-for-buck for the technology, bracelet and rubber all-in. If you dislike snowflake hands, and you already have the MM300, your next step could be to inch towards the Mercedes hands

hi if you're considering Tudor, also look at the Heritage Black Bay with their in-house movement... arguably their most popular range since Tudor mgmt re-invigorated the brand in 2008. 41mm diver with many colours to choose from

Please go to KLIA satellite building (gate c1 to c37) now...if you bargain hard enough some JLC, Zenith watches will be below RM20k.
Monblanc, Omega, Breitling definitely got watches below RM20k over there.

ICW Pilot Mark 18 OR Zenith El Primero 36000

With the budget I'll prefer preowned Rolex Sub like 14060M(Have to see condition) or brand new Omega range such as Aqua Terra Master Co-Axial or Planet Ocean. You can't go wrong with Omega either mate

Hrmm, Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch is probably the best of the best at that price range. With Co-Axial movement... horological significance and just pure good looks....
I take my Tudor recommendation back. Get the Speedy. Those who know... they know.

Explorer a bit out of budget, but I will suggest save few more month top up to explorer, if lucky can get below RM23k.
Return to the topic, RM20k can take a look JLC master control date, or IWC 3777, Mark 18 blue dial... This few is my favorite brand.
Personally I not so recommend Tudor, unless u own Rolex...
Last but not least, forget omega ba
-
Lots of options... pre owned Rolex Sub/GMT2/Exp2, new Omega Speedy/Seamaster/PO, Tudor BB among others
-
Would budget 20k enough for a brand new Rolex? any Rolex.
-
cheapest rolex for men is the 39mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual  should be able to get below 20K ..
or top up and get a prewowned submariner no date ceramic ...

Entry level Pam, popular & instantly recognize watch

My own dilemma for this would be the following choices.
1) Tudor Pelagos (Blue)
2) Omega Moonwatch
3) Tag Heuer Monaco Calibre 12
4) Cartier Santos XL (pre-own)
5) IWC Ingenieur
-
Panerai pam 0/5/111/112
Tudor bronze
IWC chrono pilot
Rolex E2/DJII
-
Maybe one of these...

Not for the brand new explorer II, Possible for used Explorer II 216570 and for used 16570 you can get it around 14k.
For around 24k you can consider brand new DJ II 116300 or Oyster perpetual 114300. Correct me if I'm wrong :)

If let me choose I will rather have a IWC Pilot/Portuguese used watch, because I think IWC is better in terms of value and quality.

Bro Sean, which watches are you comparing IWC with? And which model IWC? There are several different models of IWC pilots and they also come with different movements. Some with the ETA valjoux 7750, some with selita movements and some with in house IWC hand wound movements. The same goes for the Portuguese series.

20k impossible to get IWC in-house movement even secondhand.

For budget under 20k, there are actually a lot of options.
Grand Seiko Spring Drive
The Citizen
Dornbluth 99.0, 99.1
Islandus from JS. Watch
Malchert Quedlinburg
Some other micro brands or independent watch brands.
-
If this is my only watch, I would save more to get...
1. Modern professional Rolex, Sub or GMT, maybe RM22k to 30k, new or pre-owned.
If I have more than 1 watch, I would consider...
1. PAM 1950 Entry Model;
2. Omega SpeedMaster Professional with 1861 movement;
3. Tag Heuer with In House Movement;
4. Tudor with In House Movement.

IWC Pilot Chronograph 3777
