hi guys,
I have been offered a 1665 rail.
the case looks nice as far as i can tell from the pics.
what worries me is the dial, as i have not found one like this in the dial archiv or anywhere else:
the letters in ROLEX are fat and too close to eath other, the crown looks strange as the top of it with the 5 dots is more shaped like a triangle, not rounded. the 1 in 610 is missing the hook... what else?
thanks for all your input!

On safe side, you may want to arrange for an authentication at RSC at a cost.

Pay abit for authentication at rsc for peace of mind

I checked online and below is the link that you can use as a reference, the 1 can with the hook or like I. But for me still going to AD to "double" confirm is better..

I think I will have to do just that, thanks a lot pals.

IMO it looks wrong for a Great White 1665. Rail Dials are Mark II so the depth rating should be in italics. The insert looks wrong too.
You should also look at getting a guidebook like Mondani's. It will be an invaluable source when you are not sure about anything.
