Hi guys,
I'm thinking of getting a watch for my cousin's wedding. I've decided to get her a watch. But due to budget constraints, ,my budget is limited to RM2000. Could you guys recommend me some brands to look at?
watch criteria.
Brands - any
Case materials - steel
straps - leather or steel
size - normal ladies watch size
movement - prefer automatic, but quartz are welcome
made - prefer swiss
thanks in advance.
-
Perhaps cyma, ingersoll, fossil etc.
-
Tissot. Well known brand which is always preferred by non-WIS
-
Thanks for the recommendation. Appreciate it.
-
Not sure if a Longines fits into the budget.
-
If 2k budget for preferred Auto and Swiss made lady watch, you can "try" Tissot, Victorinox & CYMA. These brands are 2k ++ for Auto.
Maybe you really needs to try hard to get some discount out of it. Again if you are looking in Quatz, then the choice is a lot that I dont think you need any recommendation.
Search well my friend.

You will never go wrong with Tissot.
-
Certina or Cerruti 1881?
-
How about SEIKO?
Can't go wrong with Seiko too.
-
Dont forget Mido, Rado & Hamilton. But again there are more than your budget if you are going for Auto.
-
Thx for all the input guys. Great recommendations indeed. I'll check all these out for sure before I make any decisions.

Mido & Hamilton are close to your budget if you're ok with buying from online grey dealers. Better value propositions compared with Tissot IMO.

Yeah, check out Hamilton Jazzmaster lady.

If she/he has never owned an automatic watch, then i would recommend buying her a simple elegant watch without day date function. Why? Coz she/he will keep bugging you on how to adjust the date/ day once the watch depleted its power or early in the month. Just sharing my experience.

Tissot would be my first option
-
A tissot in leather strap or bracelet will be good for that price range. if you dont mind getting a used watch, get an ORIS.
-
Go for Tissot.

Not within budget, but a very lovely watch, my wife uses it. I believe you can get it in the region of 2.6 to 2.8k.
Tissot Titanium Automatic Lady (http://www.tissotwatches.com/en-MY/products/tissot-titanium-automatic-lady/T0872075529700.html)

Hi joskovic. Looked around the net and I hafta agree with the other members...its tough to find a good Swiss made automatic ladies watch for 2 K. I would recommend a Titoni as they have lovely delicate ladies watches. For the budget you mentioned, I did however find
Titoni Slenderline Watch - TQ-42917-G-ST-375 (Quartz) Leather $1990
Titoni Slenderline Watch - TQ-42917-G-380 SS Plated $2300
(Prices from Superbuy)
Anyways, should you be wanting to locate dealerships in KL, below is the link. Good Luck!

My choice goes to Tissot or Seiko.
-
Go for Seiko. If you want a Swiss made, then Titoni.
-
If it for present, esp for wedding. Giving a used watch is a no-no. At least thats my personal opinion.
RM2k is quite a tight budget for a new 'branded' watch.
I know you wanted to give a present (a watch) your cousin.
Why not give a 10 gm 'Poh Kong' gold bar. At least that fits your budgets. (strictly my personal choice)
