Thank You so much for your opinion.. May I know any brands is around in this range? Thank you.

If you don't mind homage, Steinhart Aviation Vintage is not bad... eye-catching and rugged, price slightly over rm2k.

If you can increase your budget a little, I would suggest Ball fireman range
-
Damm, no one suggest Stowa yet?
Slightly above your budget (due to the weakened currency), but definitely deserve a look.
You can pm me if you want to know more about stowa.
Also, you can take a look at archimede as well.

For the budget RM2k-RM3K, you can get a good reliable SEIKO watch.
-
If you could increase to 3.5-4k, you could get a Nomos Ludwig with that alpha handwound movement. That's a solid piece!

Agreed...nomos is truly an extremely nice watch for the price only if OP is willing to fork out more than rm5k.... But i doubt you can buy NEW ludwig for rm3.5k or even 4k....even the ludwig 33 without sapphire case back costs usd1700 if ordered directly (ludwig 38, usd2260)....of course you could get the watch cheaper if you buy through chrono24, around usd1150-1400 ...even that would cost you more than rm5000 (with current weak myr), if you include shipping and msian gst....which is clearly beyond what OP would like to spend...
Best bet for that price range would be:
Swiss: (usual suspect: tissot, hamilton and frederique constant)
German: stowa laco, etc
Japan: seiko or orient
And of course you have tonnes of micro brands.....

Hehe yeah I was considering a Nomos tangente from chrono24 at about RM3.2k.
GST not a factor since overseas dealer or private sellers, factor in another RM100-150 for shipping and it should be around the ballpark of RM3.3-3.5k.

Tangente, in particular 38, not any cheaper than the ludwig... If i am not wrong, in chrono24, there were only two tangente cost less than usd 1k, one usd960 and another one usd764 (about rm3200)and that's used from 1998 (which if i'm not mistaken was a different movement back then - alpha was first introduced in April 2005).
I am assuming OP wants a new watch....if preowned, at rm4k, i would advise to look up for the speedmaster moonwatch (reduced)....
As for ordering from overseas seller, there has been discussion in this forum in the past, unless if you are lucky (there are a few in this forum) u will be levied with malaysian gst as the item is consumed in malaysia but exempted from German VAT....

Don't think Hamilton is Swiss, it's American, like Ball. Better not confuse TS or he might blame us for suggesting non Swiss masquerading as Swiss.
I've always questioned how "Swiss" both those makes are...with their "Swiss made"

No, i am not confusing him. Hamilton (HQ: Bienne, CH) and Ball (HQ: La-Chaux de Fonds, CH) are both swiss made watches with american heritage (brands originally from the us). If you would like to classify based on where brands originally from then rolex is not a swiss watch because the brand was founded by Hans Wildorf in London..... But still swiss made.... Similar with Steinhart, german brand but swiss made....
And hamilton is part of swatch group...
As for your question on how"swiss" are swiss made watches, please see the following article:
http://www.ablogtowatch.com/swiss-made-2/
It is well regulated and one cant just simply label their products swiss made just because the brand originated from Switzerland or the company was incorporated in Switzerland...
And, i would say ball and hamilton are both Swiss watches 'masquerading' American....

Wow, I think I need some time to digest it. But jus now I go to chrono24 take a look, Hamilton is my favorite style. Any other brands style similar with Hamilton? And also prefer some popularity brands.

Can be had around 4k with discounts. Popular shopping malls like MV, 1U, Pavilion major watch shops carry this brand.

I assume you mean the B dial 42mm pilot, there are a few variant so i suggest you post the pic for us to refer.
Some like it, some deemed it too busy, nice movement, nice price, i myself have a Stowa Flieger B dial so im ok with the style but i am not a fan of date on the dial.
If i am to buy a Hamilton Khaki, i will get the "Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer" in Black instead. Not pure panda but close.

Ya that is the model i have in mind when you said Hamilton Khaki Pilot, out of the 2, Black is more versatile in my opinion.
Can find hamilton in Malaysia, can go for a hands on first.
Chrono24 depends on the seller.

Haha, ya.. It was very nice when I saw it.. Hamilton Malaysia in KL? I prefer the black 1..

:) haha, Dave have to decide. Interstellar is with bracelet.
But Dave, btw, if you gonna buy, as old WUS saying, buy the bracelet version, you will always have the choice for third party leather strap.

This is very true cause if you decide to wear bracelet later, it'll be very costly and aftermarkets aren't as nice.
-
Oh, is it stainless steel better than leather strap after markets? But I'm still prefer on leather strap, haha.. Because never try a leather strap watch before..

Actually I meant that the bracelet bought from OEM is going to be very expensive and you might not want the aftermarket bracelet that doesn't look like the original design.
Perhaps it's better that you get the bracelet too since you never tried leather before. You might not like leather but you'll be stuck with it.

What me and dertwert meant is, you can easily get better quality leather strap after market, but its expensive and difficult to get suitable bracelet after market. So if the price difference is not alot and within budget (im not sure what is the price diff between leather and bracelet) then better to buy the bracelet version even if you aim to wear it on leather.

Ooo.. I get what u means.. Thanks a lot with this.. Will go and check it out..

Sorry guys, I got one more question. If comparing Hamilton with tissot, which one will be better? Actually I'm from Ipoh, and I saw a lot of tissot outlet there, but for Hamilton, the nearest outlet only in Penang or KL.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Dave,
My very personal opinion is that I would prefer Hamilton. Reason being it has domed crystal, on one side, at least, for the model you've got your eyes on & not that easy to find a Tissot with domed crystal, from what I've seen at boutiques anyway.
Plus Hamilton isn't as common as Tissot
Most importantly, choose the design that you like the most & pleases your eye. Remember that you'll be wearing your watch longer than you'll be sitting in your car, unless you drive for a living.
-
Same as above, brand wise, between the 2, I will prefer Hamilton, at least Hamilton is more rare compare than a tissot, tissot is quite commonly seen and petaling street also sell them. At least Hamilton have Interstellar
But ya, buy what you like within your budget. There's plenty more brand that within your budget that offer equivalent or better value, but those mostly have to buy from online and oversea.
Have fun looking around. Reading and searching for the next one is part of the fun too.
-
Haha, thank you guys.. I think I know which should I go.. But also need time to go KL and check the price..
