Recently bought a Vostok Megapolis from eBay for fun but after received it I am quite impressed and satisfied with the quality and built of this mere 37USD hand wound mechanical watch.
For those who's not familiar with Vostok, its a watch manufacturing giant in the Soviet Union era whereby they also responsible for the design of the infamous Amphibia diving watch used during cold era by Soviet and Eastern Block special forces. This Megapolis is not a diving watch but rather a dress watch that produced by Vostok in Chistopol in attempt to expand its product line and the specification of this humble watch is as follow:

Hello, guys! Very nice photos here. Vostok is one of the greatest Russian watch brands, from my point of view. I like this model a lot really. But I am a true fan of Vostok Amphibia line-up. They are very reliable and stylish really. Do you like Amphibia or any other model from Vostok?

I'm quite interested in this Vostok brand because I've heard this brand for quite some time and some people said it is a best bang for the buck. I've read some reviews and also watch youtube video for the Amphibia, but it couldn't make me have the urge to buy due to the cheap feeling(well the price is cheap though) on this watch when they adjusting the watch hand. Anyway I cannot conclude that the quality is bad not until I have the chance to try it out. But this make me have more interest in this brand, so maybe I will buy one soon.

If u do some reasearch on the design and development of Vostok Amphibia during the height of cold war answering to the request from Soviet defense department need for a time keeping device for underwater spec ops team, you will not have any thought of inferiority but instead ingenuity.
The Russian are so brilliantly work around the deep sea pressure with an entirely different approach from Swiss watchmakers

32 jewels type is from Poljot
24 jewels type is from Seiko
21 jewels type is from Miyota
