Hi guys,
1. Is it true that RSC will not service a Rolex which have been serviced before by an outside watchmaker?
2. If the answer is yes, then does it mean that all buyers of pre-owned rolexes run the risk of RSC never ever want to service their pre-owned rolex ever again?
3. For buyers of pre-owned rolexes, you can never 100% ascertain that the watch you wanna buy has not been serviced by an outside watchmaker. So How?
4. Does all Rolex come with standard number of bracelet links? If yes, how many?
5. What happens when you buy a pre-owned Rolex that does not come with the standard number of bracelet links? as in does it affect the value/price?
Thanks

Hi,
AFAIK, to my knowledge:
1. They will service it, but they'll insist to replace all the parts that they deem 'non-genuine Rolex parts', which in turn will cause the price of the service to be rather expensive. Its basic overhaul + price of parts replaced.
2. Not neccesarily, but there is the off chance that they'll refuse to service VERY Vintage Models, citing no available parts. (Do a google search, there has been such cases).
3. If possible ask the seller, if not a look in the caseback will normally tell whether outsiders has been in there as there are usually markings by the person who serviced it.
4. Refer to this post, it may help: http://www.newturfers.com/bin/mwf/topic_show.pl?tid=11975
5. Not sure, have to refer to the pre-owned Sifus here. ;D
Hope it helps.
