Hello old timers,
I had recently purchased an old Seiko Skx007 from mudah site,
the condition is really bad except for the movement is running strong.
The case, bezel & glass are badly scratched. For i think the bezel
Insert definately need to be replace. But how about the case and
crystal glass. Any ideas on how to polish the glass and case.
For your info, i have manage to dissambly the bezel and the movement
out. Now only the headache is how to polish the case and is it possible
to polish glass without replacement. Seek anyone to advice..please

The hardlex glass cannot be polished, must be replaced.
The case can be polished. See my topic below:

Hi bro JeepWH,
Thanks for sharing the info, definetely will find those sandpapers and polish by this weekend.
Btw, my SKX7 condition even worse than yours when you first got (unfortunately i didnt take the photo earlier).
However, after seeing your post, it really inspire me and can't wait to finish up this project.
thanks again bro.

You are welcome, the key is to be patient. It'll take a long time. Work slow and clean often.

Pertaining to polish, is it advisible to use cape cod polish the plexiglass (pam372) or any other method can recommend?
Any suggestions and thoughts are welcomed

If its plexiglass, get a tube of Polywatch. It works wonders.
Although personally, I use Rubbing Compound which can be found in automotive paint shops. But it comes in a big can, for me who does servicing its ok. But for one time use, Polywatch is better

i bought some Cerium Oxide from e bay some time ago, its kinda works but its takes a very long time.
If you have a polishing machine it work way way more faster
