Title: Sept 25th Sat window shopping (New Sub Date content)
Post by: takashi78 on September 26, 2010, 02:37:55 PM
Loved the one on the right with its military green color. Close to pulling the trigger but not enough cash cause just bought a clock.
Maybe next time then. Good beater watch i recon.

Not too much pic on the sub date. Since was not keen on purchasing thats why didnt want to take the plastic cover off as a courtesy.
Here it is with my SD and David's GMT

Side by side with my SD, maxi dial really makes the dial look big and so does the new case.

With a list price of rm30k no wonder this is moving so slow. Even the used market is very high, would love a YM in the collection though.

New 41mm DJ is nice but abit too bling. My fav is still the white dial.

No green sub to be found anywhere we looked yesterday. As for the black sub date, maybe the watch was still in plastic cover, i didnt feel too much of a difference for me to buy it.
Still waiting to see the green sub.

So how was your weekend everyone? :)

If you look closer and at different light intensity, u will see the Sub-C bezel is not as black as the aluminum bezel. It looks glossy and gives me the feeling of semi transparent :)  It has the same property as the GMT 2c.

If I remember correctly the YM is one of the first Rolex Sports model to incorporate the maxi dial (Not counting the vintage models). The platty version is a real classic.

For some reason i cant justify the huge price jump for the plat bezel.
If only they would change the clasp design on this too.

The new sub is with very little difference from the old. Only the maxi dial is noticeable. So, changing the Green bezel sub to black will be cheaper.  ;D

without telling u what's different, it may look only slightly, but once u know, u can't stop looking at the differences.

look at the casing, it looks so much chunkier

agree. That r subtle differences between the 2. also, Should a sub owner get a new sub-c black?

the problem is the love for the new is greater and i dun 1 2 keep both if possible. selling the old will incur big losses. maybe toto will help :)
