Title: Grand Seiko Hi Beat GMT Asia Limited Edition
Post by: chrisyen on December 07, 2015, 09:04:17 AM
Attended the GRand Seiko & Astron event at Pavillion last Thursday.

Whole team of the distributor ( TS) are here
With the chief from HK and Msia
And Watatime

Very successful event
The often sold out limited edition of GS also purposely brought here

Not a fan of Astron
These few caught my eye

The Spring Drive Chronograph GMT LE
With ceramic bezel
18k gold logo on rotor, bracelet buckle, Chrono hands
Blue dial
One of the best GS
However the current fell of ringgit reflected on the price of these new GS

The anti magnetic GS
It's thick with soft iron inner case
I prefer the black dial

My pick for the night
This yr GS launched the hi beat GMT
With black n white dial + the limited Green dial
The left black dial was the daily wear of TS Asia chief
While the right white texture dial is my favourite of the night
The Asia Limited Edition
Despite without the special box n rotor as the global LE

The repeat GS lion logo
Champagne gold GMT hand
The blue sweep second hand
Simply Gorgeous !!!

Who else got it in Msia ?

I hv seen the green dial on MWF member's hand not long ago

I was invited for this event but could not attend. Saw some of the watches over the weekend at Watatime, Pavilion. Seems very nice but any idea of MSRP Chris? Especially the anti magnetic....thanks.

cant remember the Anti MAgnetic, automatic + anti magnetic shd be ard RM20k

as for the Hi Beat GMT black dial shd be slightly below the asia limited retail at RM26,500
i checked online, its USD 7,000 for the Black dial ad USD 7250 for the Limited Green dial.

Malaysia is best place to buy your GS

I am still more of a sports watch kaki but can understand the charms of a grand seiko, just that the prices are quite high now due to exchange rate. And there are so many of them, how do you choose? So I am targetting something lower end first...maybe an MM300, lets see how....
