Dear Sirs,
The allure of vintage Rolex is strong.
I've been smitten by these two for a long time. Love the aesthetic and the dial configuration.
Will have the chance to view these two in the coming month and would appreciate your opinion and advice. Cheers.

Both are fantastic pieces , seen and tried on both of them before , I prefer the 1655 more

I would personally choose the 16550 over the 1655. The cream dial is stunning plus the wording on the 6 o'clock has that arrange wording gap that make it much difference on explorer models eg. (16570) . Would love to see the dial of the 16550 aged into beautiful rich cream patina! 8)

Not sure if this makes sense... But the 1655 looks more 'vintage' to me. The design is much different compared to the newer explorers. Would have to say 1655. Both are a charm.

1655 for me, black dial reflects the patina outstandingly

The 16550 Explorer II any time. But have yet to see one in the flesh.

1655 for sure.

The 1655 seems like the better choice, really liking the orange hand

Get both will solve your dilemma

Rolex 16550 cream rail dial
The 1655 seem alittle bulky unless you got large wrist size. thx
-
1655 is way better because of the black dial, it is very versatile
-
16550 cream rail dial for sure!
Has a good combination of modern and vintage.
