Hi all,
Anyone tried to charge a Seiko Kinetic watch using a Samsung induction charger? Wondering if it'll work.

will the charger magnetize the watch instead?

It shouldn't. Instead, it should theoretically start inducing a charge to replenish the batteries.
I tried using a Braun toothbrush induction charge (I posted something about it months ago) and it worked. My kinetic watch got charged. Only problem is that the working space on the Braun is too small to place the watch properly. I need to prop the watch on other stuff to get it aligned properly.
The Samsung induction plate looks similar in size to the original SEIKO induction charge which is no longer in production (eBay prices for used examples are fitting ridiculously high >USD700).

not sure if an induction coil is part of the ecodrive system.

oh yes.. it is the coil that matters. chances eco-drive does not have a coil. I was thinking about the battery only
