I saw this on TRF, for all rolex sold after 1st July 2015. Can somebody confirm this applicable to Malaysian market as well? Many thanks.

Wow! Good news for us

What's the catch?
-
Omega has upped their Co-axial to 4 years and rolex figured it has to do something. the catch probably you what the their customers already paid, year to year price increment :)
-
its probably a good move for Rolex...
we seldom hear Rolex have problems in 5 years
i think this will attract more buyers

Bravo.. glad to heard this

I inherited 1970s rolex 6694 from my father and it still works well without any problem!

It was confirmed by Business Montres (www.businessmontres.com)
NEWS: Rolex extends its warranty to 5 years starting 1st July 2015

Just to add on another confirmation http://www.timezone.com/2015/06/22/breaking-news-rolex-extends-warranty-5-years

rolex vs omega
its decade war....
omega raised standard on all their in house in recent years
accuracy, reliability...
hence rolex is responding on warranty period
-
Omega is like AMD and Rolex is Intel ..... never will surpass Rolex in the next 100 years at least :Laughing_on_floor:

Well one never knows the what the future holds eg like we once afraid Microsoft would take over the world and apple would be burnt to the ground.

Agree.... Having said that, i would be much more comfortable placing my money with rolex compared to omega..... I would never buy new omega but certainly do not mind buying used, usually with a large haircut depending on the model.....

Good news...
But Rolex that is well known for their bulletproof-ness so to speak...
Rolex giving out 5 year warranties is like Toyota giving out 5 year warranties... redundant... hahaha...
but welcomed nonetheless...

called up rolex centre and they confirmed 5 years for watches bought starting 1 july.. & 3 years for watches bought between 1 june 2013 to 30 june 2015..
-
Good to know my SD4000 also has one additional year of warranty! Thanks!

On top of the extended warranty, they also lengthened the service interval recommendation from 3 to 10 years.

Sounds like you quite a frequent caller to rsc. Lol. If you make any call again, can help ask how long the warranty will be after serviced by rsc? Hehe.
