Just wanted to see what's the last's piece you're getting before GST kicks in.

Slightly less than two more weeks to go....

Got myself a panerai 320 GMT, omega planet ocean 8500 and a rolex submariner hulk for 2014 - 2015. Would love to add a Hublot Big Bang to the collection, but I think budget wise I'm pretty much done  :-[

Bought a Rolex GMT Master II before the price adjustments for GST, forex and annual price increase.

Making full use of balance transfer offered by a bank for 12 months interest free instalment plan to fund the purchase.   I know I am just delaying the pain   Hope the monthly pain will discipline me for the next 12 months :P

If we have something we really want, I doubt the GST will stop us from actually buying it. It is different if the watch you want and the funds to purchase it is available now then better to purchase it whilst it is still cheap. If not, it just means we have to save our money to purchase it after the GST has been implemented.

yes..but sg started with 3%. I agree we can hv gst but not at 6%. Also our info from govt about gst is not very clear and this cause confusion.

Here are pictures together with warranty card time stamps for my crazy pre-GST spree. Will be adding either a JLC Grande Taille or Panerai Pam 000 before the end of this month.

So, I present you, the Omega Aqua Terra 8500 (silicon hairspring version), Breitling Avenger II GMT and Longines Legend Diver all within 2 months. First purchase was at 8th January 2015 and the last one at 1st March 2015.

Hey guys! Nothing better than having my first pick up/poison as my first post here on MWF. I've missed out before the rise in Swiss Franc but managed to jump into the bandwagon today just before April Fool.

I had initially opted for a sports model like the Sub-C /GMT but my 6-inch sized wrist had a different opinion. And frankly speaking this is the best one that I could have asked for my first watch.

Sorry for the bad pictures as I had to snap it in a sneaky manner. Still finding the best possible way to reveal this at home without getting into much trouble  ;D

My last watch, I hope before the GST kicks in, is this baby. Taking a blow from the weak exchange rate but what the hack. I hope it will keep me satisfy for the remaining days before 1st April. Or maybe not.  Still craving for more. Help!(http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/22/a9f6169faf29069f523d33b7b4e62fcb.jpg)

Great acquisition sir! A beautiful piece that I would love to get my hands on as well. I on the other hand have my eyes locked on this lovely. Did some research and poisoned myself over a written review here at A Blog to Watch (http://www.ablogtowatch.com/seiko-prospex-kinetic-gmt-divers-200m-watch-hands/). The powerhouse Kinetic movement with a GMT complication and the great colourway is enough to draw my attention to it even though the ticking hand irks me a little. Another encouraging factor - GST implementation in 8 days.

Guys this is the final week before GST is implemented. So better buy whatever you need to buy this week. Be it groceries, household consumables, electronics, electrical goods, mobile phone, notebook, iPad, etc. Also send your car for servicing, change Tyres, polishing, etc. Trust me, 6% is a hell lot of money if you add all up. So plan ahead and beat the tax and save $$.

Since everyone is here, if my purchase is before GST, hence Invoice is before 1 April 2015, but then delivery only after 1 April 2015 from oversea. Will the watch get taxed GST?

My last hoot before GST. Don't know true or not, AD told me price for LLD will increase 12% woh. 6% go garmen and 6% due to weak exchange rate. I am keeping the watch as BNIB for possible flipping later. Anyone looking for LLD pm me. Lol.

I've managed to stock in a Rolex Explorer I with the old price..... The offer was actually for my boss, their family members are regular to this AD. The offer is slightly better than market.... Loving it, no regret .....

Hi everyone,

I managed to get a Steinhart Military 42, ordered and delivered a few days before 1st April. However, I just received an Duties and Taxes Invoice from Fedex in the post for RM5. Invoice is dated 26 March.

Since I have already received the watch, should I be ignoring this RM5 request?

This is actually a service charge. I too got something similar earlier this year. However I contested the charge because the contract that FedEx has is with the seller and not the buyer. Hence not fair to charge us.

I called Fedex, yes, it is service charge from MAB. Apparently anything going in/out from KLIA will be charged RM5. I tried to protest saying there was no notice or warning about this.

Well, the Fedex guy just said that I have to pay. If I don't pay and it may accumulate later maybe MAB sends me a lawyer love letter. He practically said that.....no help at all or no intention to help.

Malaysia always like this. Do first then worry later. No notice no information. Don't want trouble just pay Loh.

Actually it's not MAB 's fault. The notices was given. To all shippers. However FedEx did not inform their global associates. Hence, the clause was not included in the contract between them and the sender. FedEx Malaysia is now in a bind. They can't  collect from the sender so they try to bully the receiver now. Actually their own fault.

I always wonder what is the purpose of having the button near the crown?

Its part of the Ball's Patented Crown Protection System, making sure the crown is properly screwed in before diving to prevent possible water ingress.

Extracted from Ball website

A crown protection developed for the Engineer Hydrocarbon series

A special crown protection system was designed for the Engineer Hydrocarbon series to guarantee its exceptional water resistance. A protective plate is placed around the crown, which ensures the crown must be screwed-in to its original secure position after time adjustment. The shock resistance test conducted on Engineer Hydrocarbon models also tests the crown protector to ensure it will prevent damage to the crown and resist water leakage as well. The crown is tested with  external shocks to ensure its durability up to 7,500Gs.
