Guys,
Help needed! I just had a hairline scratch on my sapphire crystal !
well, one might say.. scratch proof but its not, depends on what hits it! for my case.. i dunno! i hit too many stuff latetly.
Does any of the forum brother knows were can i bring my watch in for the scratch removed? :Praying:
I know about the DIY thingy which i had google it, but just not comfortable doing it myself.
Do advice if you know if there's a service available here...
thanks in advance.
rgds,
alex

I don't think any reputable watch brands would put their sapphire crystal as "scratch proof". I am sure it's "scratch resistant"
Nothing is scratch proof in this world as far as I know of. Even diamonds can be scratched. Rub something that is "harder" against ur crystal, and u"ll definitely scratch it.

depending how bad the scratch is, if it's just a scratch on the AR coating or just a small enough scratch but can be felt by your fingers, sometimes it can be repaired by urself.
google up diamond paste, i've done it before, works as a charm but it'll take away ur AR coat.
it's ez enough but to find the diamond paste is a bit tricky here in malaysia.
think about 100RM+ u will have both. comparing this method and going to the service centre to change the crystal, i think u shd try this first.

If it's only the AR coating that is scratched, try removing the coating by rubbing lighter fluid against it. Might work

Just wondering did you manage to remove the scratch, finally?? My new watch have a tiny scratch there, so I am finding the way to remove it.......Even spend some money...
