Hi guys,
It is almost 2 years since I joined MWF in early 2013 and I think it is about time for me to share some of my collections.
This 2 years has been enjoyable as I read, talk, and learn about watches.
I had flipped quite a few along the way to raise money to fund new purchases. And I would like to give a special thanks to MWF as here is my primary venue to find their new owners. And also, say thank you to fellow members who I dealt with, it was a pleasure to meet up with you guys
Here are my EXs, and I shall share over the next few days my present and also, my future (hopefully)
:)

I certainly hope that you do not have as many ex-girlfriends! :Laughing_on_floor: It must have been quite painful to let go some of the beauties such as the JLC, Nomos and the LLD. Can't wait to see your present and future collections!
-
Nice ex's, look forward to your current collections
-
Bro Yikkie,
Fortunately, I only had 1 girlfriend who has since became my wife.
If I flipped so many girl friends, I would be in serious financial trouble. :)

Here is a back view of my current watches.
Sorry for the poor lighting and bad resolution.
This picture was taken at late night under normal down light, using a IPhone
I shall retake a picture of front view, under natural sunlight, in one of the weekend after CNY.

Gorgeous current line-up as well. Btw, has the caseback been removed before? At AP, or somewhere else? If by AP, any chance if you know if is there any way to ensure that the screws all align perfectly to the shape of the case?
-
Wow…U flipped a lot for past 2 years.
Let me make a guess on your current collection. I saw AP, iwc, zenith EP, 2 rolex (1 supercase and 1 older case), moon watch and seamaster…
-
Nice collection, I saw a JLC.
-
Change of taste? #respect and envy with your collections

Omega, Rolex (2), JLC, AP, Zenith... can't make out the one on the NATO. Nice... looking forward to it...

Gorgeous collection!
And the one with nato looks like a Speedmaster to me.

Bro r3kahsttub,
I never removed the caseback for my AP before.
I expect the screws on the bezel to be aligned after servicing the watch
However, the screws on the caseback are not aligned (I bought the watch new).
To Bro Dennis, Clicko, Hobbit, Dickson Lim,
You guys are sharp. You got most of the brands right, except that I have 2 JLCs

Here's the front shot.
It was actually a farewell group photo for the Zenith EP Striking 10th, who has since moved on to its new owner.
A few more will leave the pack over the next couple of month to make way (actually, to make money) for the newcomers :)

Mentor of horological journey!

Well thought thru Swiss watch collection. Each watch serves a certain purpose and occasion. Am just wondering where would the Omega Seamaster fits in and what was the reason of putting it in your collection? Ever consider German watches as part of your collection?
-
i can see your color preference... ;D
-
what an marvelous achievement in 2 years
-
Hi guys,
Thanks for viewing and the feedbacks.
Bro alexngbk, the omega seamaster is my go to diver / casual / toolwatch and has had a fair share of wrist time before I acquired the sub not long ago. That said, I have since put it under the to go list as I am now eyeing a fifty fathom.
Bro omnipotent, I always thought I prefer white dial but yes, my collection does suggest otherwise :)
Perhaps that can be part of my excuse to reshuffle... Haha

Bro Roystock, Now it make sense, Personally i felt your collection consist of very safe choices. Each piece has a certain criteria (history, importance to the brand, and even suitability for various occasion). In fact quite similar to my taste as we share at least half of the same pieces. Thats why i found the seamaster to be slightly odd as it overlaps with the sub or rather the Sub would outshine the Seamaster (discounting sentimental values). From your collection, it projects a sort of perception that you might be in your late 30s to mid 40s, well read & travel, does your homework, & stable comfortable phase in life.
Is there any piece you are considering to add some flavor to your collection? Like a Panerai, or B&R, or something out of your comfort zone? for example, Am personally considering a Frank Muller Master Banker which doesnt check any box from my criteria list.

Astute observation bro alex. I do agree that my choices are somehow too safe or I shall say, boring.
I am moving out from my comfort zone soon, targeting a Blancpain Fifty Fathom. I never considered buying any piece > 42mm, until now. That said, I still need to try it for a few more times to see if I really like it.
Panerai and B&R happened to be my "the luxury watch you would never buy". While I do like their style and think that there are fun, their price tag is simply too steep, for me.
How's your FM Master Banker hunt going? What's in your watch box now?
-
Bro Roystock, 5 of your watches are in my wishlist! I am so envious of you la. :)
Great collection! Thanks for sharing.
-
Bro niteowl,
If I may guess, are the 5 = 2 rolex, 2 omega and maybe an AP?
:D

Gone but not forgotten.
Or shall I say, will be dearly remembered.

nope. AP RO, Master Perpetual Calendar, Batman,Reverso & El Primero in that order.
Speaking about AP RO, what do you think about the 14790 ST? 37mm vs yours?

FM MB is tough to find in the aftermarket. as i am hesitant to purchase it new. Not sure if i would want one permanently.
Anyway, here is whats left in my collection at the moment. BR were bought in one of those impulse moment and would be the next to leave the collection. Trying to keep it down at a self imposed 5 or below to ensure each piece receives equal wrist time.

Now that I have sold my Speedy and Striking 10th, and in the process of selling JLC Master Perpetual Calendar, I start to miss watches with nice display caseback already

Yes, am a sucker for black. Plus black makes matching my shirts easier as my job requires me to wear black pants and white shirt most of the time.
So you can imagine the impulse to go buy the omega dark side of the moon when it was first released. Thank God sober head prevails.
